Murray Sugar Free Cookies
These Murray Sugar Free Cookies are not ‘no carb’, but they are ‘low carb’, due to the fact that they are sugar free. They actually test pretty good and at night satisfy the need for something a little sweet.
San Francisco | Tommy’s Joynt
Use to go to Tommy’s Joynt as a kid with my Mom & Dad, and get the open face turkey sandwich. Then went there as an adult and still got the open face turkey sandwich, but now with a beer. :-D.
Nephew Takes First Place at Don Green Invitational
This weekend my nephew Devon came in first for both Discus & Shot Put at the Don Green Invitational. Since he’s playing on the Venture High School varsity team as a sophomore, it’s going to be a tough year to place, but he will do well his junior and senior years.
LED Light Bulb w/ WiFi
The Philips hue LED light bulb is pretty cool. It has WiFi capability, so you can control the brightness and color from an app on a smartphone or tablet. Right now it only works with iOS and Android, but hopefully they will include Windows 8.
Honda FCX Clarity
Saw this Top Gear video on the Honda FCX Clarity. This design is so much better than a battery powered electric car. I just can’t believe it’s on such a limited release with it only being available in Southern California. I truly believe this is the real future of alternative energy cars. Although I will admit that natural gas vehicles still have a shot. Who knows, maybe both will play equal, yet different roles in the future?
Tates Bake Shop
Tates Bake Shop makes some of the best packaged cookies I have ever had. They are pricey, but worth it. Yum! 🙂

Ventura | Gourmet Oriental
Gourmet Oriental is a little Chinese restaurant in a little strip mall on the outer edge of the city of Ventura, but the fact of the matter, is that it’s one of the best Chinese restaurants I’ve eaten at. Everything is fresh, and when you order things like Lemon Chicken or Sweet & Sour Pork, to go, they don’t pour the sauce over the food. They give it to you in a separate container so it’s not soggy when by the time you get it home. Now is it ‘authentic’ Chinese food? No, it’s pretty much American Chinese food, but it’s still good and you get a lot of food for your money. and the people who work there are really nice guys.
