Saw REFUGE on Triple D. The pastrami looks fantastic.
Los Angeles | Beer Belly
Saw Beer Belly on ‘Triple D’, and if I’m ever in LA, I want to try it out. The ‘Duck Fat Fries’ look freaking awesome!!!
Sonoma | Hopmunk Tavern
Hopmunk Tavern is a great little microbrewery in Sonoma. It is actually a part of Gordon Biersch’s chain of restaurants, but the structure and menu is designed for small towns like Sonoma, Sebastopol, and Novato.
Larkspur | Belcampo Meat Company*
Just read an article about Belcampo Meat Company. They raise their own live stock, sell the meat in their butcher shop, and cook the meat in their own restaurant. Truly a “local grown” business.
Petaluma | Lagunitas Brewing Company
Finally went to Lagunitas Brewing Company. Really had a good time. Had some good bear and nachos, and the food that I saw being served to others looked really good too. Definitely will be going back.
San Francisco | Tommy’s Joynt
Use to go to Tommy’s Joynt as a kid with my Mom & Dad, and get the open face turkey sandwich. Then went there as an adult and still got the open face turkey sandwich, but now with a beer. :-D.
Ventura | Gourmet Oriental
Gourmet Oriental is a little Chinese restaurant in a little strip mall on the outer edge of the city of Ventura, but the fact of the matter, is that it’s one of the best Chinese restaurants I’ve eaten at. Everything is fresh, and when you order things like Lemon Chicken or Sweet & Sour Pork, to go, they don’t pour the sauce over the food. They give it to you in a separate container so it’s not soggy when by the time you get it home. Now is it ‘authentic’ Chinese food? No, it’s pretty much American Chinese food, but it’s still good and you get a lot of food for your money. and the people who work there are really nice guys.
Ventura | Brophy Brothers Restaurant & Clam Bar
Went to Brophy Brothers Restaurant & Clam Bar while visiting my Sister for Thanksgiving. Nice restaurant and their menu had options for everyone. Of all the restaurants I’ve been to in Ventura, I would say this is the best one to date.
San Francisco | House of Prime Rib
House of Prime Rib has been a favorite of mine since I was a kid. You can’t get more simple than the menu at the House of Prime Rib. Pick your cut and your done. The best part is when they roll the meat zeppelin next to your table and cut your piece of meat right in front of you. Yum!!! 🙂
Corte Madera | Marin Joe’s
Marin Joe’s is pretty much what I would call an ‘old school’ restaurant, but the food is good and the portions are pretty big.
